Horizon Festival, the Sunshine Coast’s leading contemporary multi-arts festival, is back in 2021 with vibrant, immersive and entertaining experiences for all ages, from 27 August to 5 September.
Local and national artists come together for 10 days and nights of visual art, music, theatre, dance, film and creative workshops, with world premieres, Sunshine Coast-firsts and a few cheeky surprises adding up to a world-class Festival that honours and celebrates the local community.
The festival pays deep respect to the Traditional Custodians; the Kabi Kabi and Jinibara Peoples, the original artists and storytellers of the Sunshine Coast; with heartfelt events to engage the community with emotive and stirring First Nations’ performances, exhibitions and more.
This year’s festival hub is The Wonderland Spiegeltent, overlooking the water at Cotton Tree Park, with program of world-class cabaret, comedy, circus, dance and theatre.
The rest of the program is packed with performances, exhibitions and events right across the Sunshine Coast, making the most of the regions venues, beaches, parks and hinterland spaces.
